November 2010

Seems like this year is starting to speed up quite a bit. Travel season is in Full Swing with The Men’s Wearhouse Tour along with other events around the area. Shelley’s due date has been confirmed as June 10th and that will be here in a blink.

Thanksgiving is just 3 weeks away and it is time to start sending out our Holiday cards. This used to be a real chore as we would send several hundred a year and the process took forever. Fortunately we found a service that allows us to create our greeting cards online in the style we want. SendOutCards is the name of the company, we create the custom card or choose from thousands that they have, write our heartfelt message In Our Own Handwriting Font, we can put pictures on it too, and then SendOutCards prints it, stuffs it, stamps it, and mails it all for under $2.00 a card. BRILLIANT!! We can do card campaigns of hundreds of cards in a couple of minutes and we can even send GIFTS too! Check it out at www.sendoutcards.com.

HOLIDAY PARTIES

Here are just a few reasons that Sound Entertainment should be your choice for your Holiday Party this year.

1) Experience. I personally have been DJing for over 20 years and travel all over the United States (Hawaii included) performing Corporate and Private events.

2) Knowledge. With that experience comes the knowledge of how events flow and what specifically a party needs to be successful based on the needs of the group.

3) Fun. In the end it is all about having a good time. Whether a Top End Wedding Reception, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, School Event, or Corporate Function we know how to make it FUN and Entertaining by getting people involved.

October 2010

So while I never got to finish everything for September I thought I would try to continue those closing weeks and October together. It will be a work in progress as things are moving pretty fast.

Exciting news for the Frank family is we are expecting another DJ! We found out Shelley is pregnant October 4th. and we are very excited to say the least. It’s fun to see how our kids are getting involved.I will keep you updated as soon as we know more.

TRAVEL

I just spent a week working in New York City and New Jersey putting together music for the Men’s Wearhouse Holiday Tour that starts in November. This will be my 9th year on tour with TMW and it has been an awesome experience. I head out to the Mid West Starting in OKC and working my way back. Pictures will follow as I hit each city.

September

This month is coming in as a Lion.

Friday afternoon was the kick off pep rally for Wilder Elementary’s Walk-A-Thon. This was a high energy interactive time with the kids.

Later that night was the Wilder Luau Family Fun Night. We started the evening with some Island music and then got into some non-stop interactive entertainment. This too was a great time watching the parents, teachers, and kids all interact.

Saturday Night was a Bat Mitzvah in Indy at the Indiana State Museum. This place was awesome and HUGE! The staff we worked with was great and really a lot of fun. The motto for the night was “One Team, One Dream!”

The party was off the hook and everyone had a great time playing games, dancing to Funk and current music with a few standard party songs thrown in. Congratulations to Sophie!

Sunday is the second to the last day of the pool being open so we are on our way there to have some fun with the kids and hang out with friends.

Monday the end of the summer final pool party at Elks Lodge #8. Sound Entertainment provided music and games from 2 Pm until 8 PM to close the last swim day for 2010. About 200 + people showed up and had a great time. We helped raise $100 for new pool furniture for next season. While it was bitter sweet, it was a great day.

Wrapping up August

Man this month just flew by.

In addition to what was already blogged there was a great Bar Mitzvah Party for Daniel. Everyone had a blast and me and my team had a great time. Having a lot of friends at the event makes it even better.

The final pool party for the kids was a success and was well attended. The Adult swim night (when we kicked all the kids out) was a lot of fun as well. We played a few games in and out of the water and danced the night away.

We DJ’ed our 4th Annual Hike for Hosparus event which was a lot of fun as well and well attended. My son even walked the three miles. Having said that, he just got caught up in the moment and went on the walk. When he found out it was 3 miles and hot the story changed and he took a lot of breaks. Very funny, but he did it!

August

August means back to school for the kids and the last days that the pool will be open. We had a totally amazing summer and while I am not ready for it to end….man it was a lot of work. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Worked a great wedding August 10th. Fun couple and they had great guests that liked to have fun as well.

TONIGHT

We have our final Dive-In Movie night at the pool as well as a back to school kick off at Greathouse Elementary. Both events should be a good time ad the weathers looks like it will be rain free as well.

Things as starting to get busy and I look forward to the fall season though I must admit, I am already looking to May 2011!

July 30th Movie Night Was A Hit!

Dive-In Movie Nights. What a great idea. Nice weather (for the most part), a great pool, 200 of your closest friends, music, games, and a movie!

The evening went very well with music and assorted games. The Big splash contest is always a hit.

The movie was UP! and things were going well until the wind and some rain kicked up and almost blew the screen down. Or should I say the 10 X 10 sail that it became. So we didn’t make it through the entire movie but we kicked the music back in and everyone still had fun.

It’s always nice when you get these.

Just got a reply email back from our July 24th Wedding.

“Thank you two!!! You and your wife were awesome! I had tons of compliments of both of you…especially my mom…she just loved your wife! Music was awesome and you guys were great. Thank you for everything!!!”   Kristen and Jeff

Makes you feel good that you are making someone’s day special.

July 7, 2010

Had a great meeting with a nice couple about their son’s Bar Mitzvah in November. They were very nice and fun to work with. The theme is music which gives us endless possibilities. This will be fun!
