The trip began with with a client meeting, planning their wedding day here in Hawaii. Wednesday we DJ’d a Middle School Dance at Central Middle School, then 3 more client meetings, a Wedding Professionals meeting at the Wedding Café. A very busy start to my trip.
It was fun running into people that I have met over the years and feeling like I had just been “away” for awhile. I was also fortunate to reconnect with some folks I met in Vegas earlier this year.
The first Project Grad night started Friday with Roosevelt High School and was a great time however a very long night. We provided music for dancing, interactive games, video games and more. The kids had a great time.
We spent a couple of slow days at the beach and a pool, which is always fun. I really enjoyed spending time with Dave Louis and his family. Several day were spent loading in new music for Dave and configuring his rig with the Denon 2500HD.
Mine and Shelley’s anniversary was May 31st. but Shelley had to remain home in Louisville to cover an event we had were the client was feeling very insecure it seemed so we delayed her trip by one day so that we could put her at ease. As a result of that I was able to celebrate my 1st anniversary with a lot of the folks that were actually at the wedding in Hawaii last year. We had great food and a great time hanging out. We even continued the Mix Game that I shared with some of the guys in Vegas. It was a blast!
June 1st my family arrived on the Island. It was a nice time in that they got to see Dave’s Mom and Dad before they left the next day. Good to have the whole gang together again. June 2nd we took Dave’s parents to the airport and initiated the “Surprise”. Shelley had no idea that we arranged 2 days for just her and I in Waikiki to actually celebrate our Honeymoon and anniversary. It was a well executed plan and she had no idea.
While there we looked up an old friend I was in the Air Force and a band with. He is a surf instructor. It was great catching up with him and hanging out. He took good care of us.
